It would appear that the change in ADD has caused confusion in many
places, so let me make it clear what has been passed.
First, the intention of the change is to allow girls with the early birth dates
in a class to compete with the other girls in the same class. Most states use
September 1, although a few use August 1 and Indiana uses July 1, so that
was the date chosen.
Second, with the ADD being moved from January 1, 2008 to July 1, 2007,
many girls who could not compete with their teammates are now able to do
so.
Third, if the name of the age division is a problem, then it will be
addressed at the 2008 Convention.
